EIMAD — International Meeting of Research in Music, Arts and Design is a scientific conference, introduced in 2011, dedicated to research in the areas of design, music and arts, including transdisciplinary approaches, taking place at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas of the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, Portugal.
Articles are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process, following submissions to an open call for papers. The evaluation of submissions is done by the Scientific Committee, PhD holders with external and international affiliation, within the areas of EIMAD.
EIMAD is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030) established by the United Nations General Assembly and the values of the New European Bauhaus, promoted by the European Commission.

Past Editions
8th EIMAD
The eighth EIMAD – International Meeting of Research in Music, Arts and Design, took place between July 7 and 9, 2022, held in a hybrid way (online and in person), due to the global pandemic. It featured four keynote speakers linked to the New European Bauhaus promoted by the European Commission, for the scope of their work and for Bauhaus teaching.
This was the fourth edition with a call for papers with peer review.
During these days, there were a total of 10 parallel sessions with the oral presentation of 75 papers. Coordinating Committee: Daniel Raposo, João Neves, Luísa Correia Castilho, Ricardo Silva and Rui Dias.
7th EIMAD
The seventh EIMAD – International Meeting of Research in Music, Arts and Design, took place between 14 and 16 May 2020, held by videoconference, due to the global pandemic. This was the third edition with a call for papers with peer review.
During these days, there were a total of 11 parallel sessions with the oral presentation of 82 papers. Coordinating Committee: Daniel Raposo, João Neves, José Silva, Luísa Correia Castilho and Rui Dias.
6th EIMAD
The sixth EIMAD – International Meeting of Research in Music, Arts and Design took place on February 22 and 23, 2018, at the School of Applied Arts, Campus da Talagueira, in Castelo Branco, Portugal. This was the second edition with a call for papers with peer review.
During these two days, there were a total of 12 parallel sessions, representing 59 oral presentations of papers, in addition to the presentation of 13 scientific posters. Coordinating Committee: Daniel Raposo, João Neves, Francisco Pinho and José Silva.

The fifth EIMAD – International Meeting of Research in Music, Arts and Design took place on February 2 and 3, 2017, at the School of Applied Arts, Campus da Talagueira, in Castelo Branco, Portugal. This was the first edition with a call for papers with peer review.
During these two days, there were a total of 13 parallel sessions, representing 58 oral presentations of papers, in addition to the presentation of 18 scientific posters. Coordinating Committee: Daniel Raposo, João Neves, Francisco Pinho and José Silva.

O sétimo EIMAD – Encontro de Investigação em Música, Artes e Design, decorreu entre os dias 14 e 16 de maio de 2020, realizada por videoconferência, devido à pandemia mundial. Esta foi a terceira edição com call for papers com revisão por pares (peer review).
