The Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, through the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas promotes, the 6th EIMAD – Meeting of Research in Music, Art and Design, on 22 and 23 February 2018. The congress will take place at ESART facilities on the campus of Talagueira in Castelo Branco, providing a space for sharing and dissemination of research results in areas of music, arts and design.
The call for papers is organized to the following thematic areas:

> Musicology and Music
> Music Education
> Other topics or intersection areas.
CALL FOR PAPERS AND POSTERS

The paper and project submission (academic and / or professional) must be made electronically using the online submission system Easy Chair.
The paper and posters will be assessed by the Scientific Committee, in double-blind peer review system, which can approve or suggest corrections to the proposals. Double-blind peer review is a system in which two or more members from EIMAD Scientific Committee evaluate anonymously the Paper / poster, that is, without knowing the author identity. The Commission makes a qualitative assessment, which may include recommendations for improvement, then sent to the author and should be considered. Papers / posters accepted will be included in EIMAD program for public presentation and publication in the Book of abstracts, on condition that the author is registered for the event.
Approved papers will be published online in an edition of Convergences – Revista de Investigação e Ensino das Artes. The authors of the best articles will be invited to write a book chapter (in digital format) to be edited after the event.
During the congress, there will be no translation of oral communications. However, papers, posters and presentations are accepted in these languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish.
Papers should be written in an official language of the event (Portuguese, English and Spanish), according to the Guidelines for papers, provided on this page for download.
Papers may not contain the identification of the author at the time of submission, being only identified when sending the finished article, accepted and reviewed.
Posters should be written in an official language of the event (Portuguese, English and Spanish), with Abstract (up to 200 words) and Paper (up to 1000 words, including resume and references), according to the following model as a basis for formatting your poster.
The Posters can not contain the identification of the author at the time of submission, being only identified when sending the final file accepted and reviewed.
Accepted posters must be sent by mail in a timely manner.
There will not be affixed posters that do not arrive one week before the date of EIMAD.
The organization of EIMAD ensures the printing of posters of authors who request and ensure the printing costs.
Papers are presented by a single author and has a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
Communication can be done in English, Portuguese or Spanish. In the case of communication in English, try to have communication support (PPT, PDF, etc.) in another language.
The communication of the paper may include a performative component, within a maximum of 20 minutes.
Prior to the EIMAD, we request the authors to send the presentation file (powerpoint or pdf as the model). Files will not be accepted on the day of the event.
The posters will be presented during the EIMAD, staying in exhibition for a month.
